The Youth Development Foundations’ constitutional objective is to develop and implement programs & strategies that assist local youth become responsible and employment ready members of the community.
Each of our programs are designed specifically to suit the needs of individual learners. During the enrolment process, participants will work with our experienced staff to identify barriers and develop an individual learning plan that will identify the areas in which the young person may require the most assistance in towards improving personal circumstances, completing a qualification or gaining employment.
Project Pivot *NEW*
Project Pivot puts YOU at the centre. Our planning is done with you and aims to tailor a program to your needs, strengths, Interests, and aspirations. This includes addressing any barriers you may have to education, learning or employment.
A customised plan is co-designed with you to include activities that are fun, motivational, and vocational. These activities aim to improve YOUR life skills, confidence, teamwork, and work readiness.

Ready For Work
Our Ready for Work program is a 6 week job-readiness program designed to assist young people aged 15-24 to transition into the workforce focused on job search assistance and training.

This program is fully funded through the QLD Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work Initiative.
Community Work Skills
Our Community Work Skills program is a 6-week program designed for 15+, to assist with gaining employability skills, whilst completing a Certificate II in Skills for Work and Skills for Vocational Pathways. This certificate builds students’ capability for workforce entry and includes transferable workplace skills and knowledge.

Work Skills Traineeships
A 24-week paid Construction Traineeship designed to assist participants gain employability skills.
This program includes everything in RFW, with hands-on paid work experience in Construction.
Places in this program are limited and require an interview process.
Program Includes:
- Certificate I in Construction
- Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- White Card Training
